Pamela Pinkett – President / Board Chair
Pamela Pinkett is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant licensed in the state of Maryland. As a Financial Consultant she assists organizations in need of senior-level hands-on accounting and financial expertise. Pamela has more than 35 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, systems implementation, forensic accounting, and auditing. While she concentrates on not-for-profit organizations, she has also worked with property management companies, government contractors, a Fortune 100 hotel operator, and a local university.
David Donovan , CFO
David is a 20-year resident of Columbia, MD and a parent of a son with special needs. He has also been a 15-year volunteer with Special Olympics Maryland-Howard County gaining valuable perspective while getting to know hundreds of disabled and special needs individuals along with their families in our community.
Sharon Gamble, MNPM – Executive Director. Sharon Gamble has 31 years of combined experience as a healthcare administrator, continuing education, training & development and financial services. She is experienced in platform training, curriculum development, operational management, program and event planning, and relationship building. Sharon’s ability to establish rapport with people of all ages, cultures and philosophies allows her to assemble a diversity of people in pursuit of a common goal. Organizations enjoy working Sharon because she pays attention to detail and is results oriented. Her experiences provide unique insight to assist with achieving organizational goals and objectives.
Dr. Phyllis Campbell – Secretary After more than 34 years on the HCGH. Professional Staff, Phyllis Campbell, M.D., is retiring on March 31. During her tenure, she served on a number of committees, including the Nominating Committee and the Professional Assistance Committee. Dr. Campbell held several leadership roles, including serving on the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Campbell was also the chair of the OB/GYN Department from 2005 to 2011.
Claude de Vastey Jones, Board Member
Claude de Vastey Jones is an attorney at Carney, Kelehan, Bresler, Bennett & Scherr, LLP in Columbia, Maryland. Her practice focuses on cases involving litigation before federal and Maryland courts and administrative agencies, including business, commercial and personal injury matters. She has more than 20 years of experience in law, including as deputy state’s attorney for Anne Arundel County.
Sharon Powdrill, Board Member
Sharon Powdrill lives in Columbia Maryland. Her back ground by profession is Social Work. She has heart and mind to serve the vulnerable population which includes the elderly, developmental disabilities and the homeless population.
Robin Phillips, Board Member
Robin has worked in the healthcare industry for over 38 years. She has been involved with individuals with developmental disabilities since 1994. She enjoys advocating for her son and daughter who have developmental disabilities. Her hobbies include close involvement with Special Olympics, taking long walks and working in her flower beds.
