Program and Services

Our community-based Residential Services Program operates multiple homes in Columbia, MD. We support three individuals per home, and all of the homes have staff onsite in the evenings, weekdays and/or weekends based on the needs of that household.

Staff members assist residents as they develop daily routines that are necessary for them to work, use community resources, and make connections outside their homes. This includes meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, money management, housekeeping, and personal hygiene. Counselors also provide transportation in the evenings to take residents to community activities, shopping, and appointments. Family members remain a part of the individual’s life. This plan becomes the blueprint for services that the individuals receive from Adaptive Living, Inc. ALI’s adult residential services are licensed by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration and Project Home .
