Gary Carter has been interested in special education and developmental disabilities for over 30 years. He has volunteered for the Howard County Public School System and the ARC of Howard County. He joined the Board of Adaptive Living Incorporated in 2008 and beam the Board President in 2017. He is also Professor of Electrical Engineering at UMBC where he has been since 1988.

Susan has worked with individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities from the ages of 3 to 70, and has been providing the services for the past 30 years. Her expertise at adaptive living has helped this organization grow over the past 24 years. She provides a strong mentoring program for all of our new resident advisors.
